The Council’s Officers and members of the Board of Trustees conducted their strategic planning for fiscal years 2024 and 2025. The first part was held in June 12-13, 2023 at the West Grove Resort Tanauan, Batangas and the final part was at the Espiritu’s Farmhouse in Pulilan, Bulacan last February 11, 2024.

Revisiting of the mission, vision goals and objectives (VMO) of the Council was carried out that resulted in a more aligned and relevant 2024 PCQACL VMO ready to take on the changing healthcare and laboratory medicine landscapes with confidence.

This was followed by an assessment of both the current and future potentials of the organization by conducting the SWOT analysis and TOWS strategy. Based on these, the Council’s priorities for the next 3 years were identified where key result areas, key performance indicators, strategies, timelines were outlined as well as the identification of the people or committee responsible. The different standing Committees chairpersons and members were then requested to prepare their respective work financial plans (WFP) to complete the 2024 strategic plan.

This daunting task was carried out with much enthusiasm and fun during those dates. Indeed, there will be so many activities to watch out for this year and the following year. The officers are exhilarated to share these with everyone.

Our heartfelt gratitude to our industry partner, Labmate who supported our initial planning activity. The same goes to our very own Dr. Bernie Espiritu and her family for allowing us to conduct the second part at their farmhouse in Bulacan where we also celebrated her birthday on that special day.
